Why does my remote controlled ceiling fan keep shutting itself off?

I have had this ceiling fan for 10 years. It’s the kind with the pull chains but it also has a remote. I always leave the pull chain set to high and just turn the fan on and off with the remote. Some days it stays on all day and I have no problems. Other days, I will turn it on and every 10 minutes or so it will spontaneously turn off again. It’s driving me nuts! What’s the deal?

remotes for ceiling fan have a set frequency for all of them. If you have a neighbor who also has a remote for there ceiling fan can turn on and off yours and probabley you are doing the same for there’s.

Can a ceiling fan in a room where the a/c controller is, affect the temperature in the rest of the house?

The receiver on the fan could be going bad, also some times stray signals from other electronic devices may be shutting it off.
