Ceiling light fan help, problem with the Light chain!!!?
My Ceiling fan has two chains, one for the fan blades and one for the lights however the chain for the lights is stuck. Is there any easy way to fix the chain so it can be pulled again so i can use the lights?
P.S: Tell me what I need to do to fix this problem by myself.
Tell me the steps to fix it Please.
Your light chain is connected to a switch which has probably gone bad. Your only option is to replace the switch. They sell a generic ceiling fan light switch at any hardware store.
You just have to make sure the power to the entire ceiling fan is off when you change it. To get to the switch you have to remove the light kit screws and let the light hang. There should be two wires going to the switch that’s sticking. You just unscrew the wire nuts and remove the nut holding the old switch on.
Install the new switch and hook the wires back up. Screw on the light kit and you’re done.
Good luck.

You face having to take the unit apart. Not particularly difficult but it has to be well thought through so that you can put it back together. First turn the breaker off. Then take the fan down including disconnecting the wiring. Turn upside down on bench with blanket on it and remove the light fixture. Put screws back it holes they were removed from and start keeping close track of what order things are removed so they can but put back in reverse order. Now see how to get the housing apart where the defective switch is and remove the screws, maybe the paddles, maybe the top end with the wiring. If you remove something that doesn’t help get you closer, put it back on so you don’t have to remember about it. Once you get down to the switch, you may find that it is just jammed and not broken, but it is probably a good idea to replace it anyhow. Manufacturer should be able to help you with the part. Put together in reverse order.

fah is correct! Before I took it apart, I would tap the chain where it goes into the switch to see if it will free itself.

Buy a on/off pull chain switch. Simple 2-wire connection inside the switch housing. Should cost $2-$4.
