Is it possible to fix the switch to turn on the ceiling fan light?

the switch on the ceiling fan light broke and i want to know if you can fix it…its the type that you pull down to turn on the light but do you need to replace it or what

Lowes sells this switch for less than 5 dollars. It is an 2 wire easy replacement. Anyone with basic electrical knowledge can replace this easily.
