No, it’s not a heater it’s a ceiling fan. “heat cycler” is just the name of that type of Fasco Ceiling fan.

  • anoddshadeofwhite says:

    Does it create heat …
Does it create heat really or does it cool off?

  • EmersonCollie says:

    For the last time. …
For the last time. It was the tape in the camera that was making the noise. You are now blocked and I will block the rest of your sockpuppet accounts as you keep creating them.

Only next time I wont reply back like I did to this one. The next one will be a block and delete of your comment.

By the way. Your knock off name of professorkiwi gives you away that you’re a troll. I’m not fooled that easy.

    Also I have heard …
Also I have heard that noise in all your other videos! Did that noise stop? What did you do to make the noise stop?

    I Remember I Used …
I Remember I Used to go to Elmentryschool when I was almost 9. It had a brown 1981 Fasco Heat Cycler in the Cafiteria. My Teacher would let me turn them on sometims. The first time I came here, I asked if the school had Ceiling Fans since I loved them before I was 2, but the teacher said no because she never looked up the ceiling then when I first sawed the cafiteria I notice more then one Ceiling Fan in there. It brings back memories to see it again. I do homeschool now.

I have a Fasco ceiling fan in my spare bedroom except it’s antique brass finish and it has a school house light on the bottom of it! I bet that 1981 Fasco ceiling fan was in your old school at the same time you were!

    Fasco chose to name …
Fasco chose to name this fan the Heat Cycler, just like Hunter chose to name one of their fans the Original.

my family worked at fasco for a few years when there was a factory in rochester.you can find a lot of fasco ceiling fans in churches, diners, and other places in rochester including other fasco fans.

    What is the blade …
What is the blade span of this ceiling fan? Did Fasco make this fan in any other blade span than the one in this video?

  • dburrigh says:

    Interesting, so …
Interesting, so it’s just a name.

It’s a neat looking fan, the startup sound is unusual. You never hear ceiling fans do that.

The Emerson versions of this fan are neat as well. The popular name for those is blenderfan.

When I do expand my back porch out, I’d be tempted to put a couple of fans like this out there.

  • EmersonCollie says:

That is the name of …
That is the name of Fasco’s industrial ceiling fan. Like there is an industrial fan called a Heatbuster. It’s a name of an industrial fan.

  • dburrigh says:

    OK, a question from …
OK, a question from a ceiling fan dummy here (I’m mainly a desk fan guy). Why is this fan called a heat cycler?

  • EmersonCollie says:

    Okay, so maybe the …
Okay, so maybe the one I saw was a Parlour. I remember it had four blades and yes, it did have a variable speed control. Unless my eyes and sence of touch is lieing to me. I changed the bearrings in one. Though I don’t really recall the name. It was only one that I worked on. I thought it was a late 70’s Charleston.

  • DangerousTacos says:

    I’d be interested …
I’d be interested in one of the ones with a shorted motor, I have spares. I’ll send you a private message about that.

I have a few Charlestons of this fan’s age, Fasco never made a variable speed Charleston, they were always 3 speed. The variable speed fans were Parlour Fans, and World’s Fairs (same thing as a Parlour Fan, but 6 blades).

The heat cyclers were the Fascos with the biggest motor in them, as they were for industrial/commercial applications.

  • EmersonCollie says:

    I only have two. …
I only have two. That one and another one with bad windings. It works some what but it shorts out alot. So I going to rewind the motor when ever I get time.

A Charleston that age has a thicker motor housing and the motor is the same as the one in this fan in the video. The older Charleston also have a variable speed control. This fan came with a wall three speed control but my school never used them. They just wired them both to one switch and they were always on high speed.

  • DangerousTacos says:

    I love these fans, …
I love these fans, but prefer the model with the smaller vents (similar to that of a Fasco Charleston). How many of these do you have? I’m actually looking for one, I need some air-movers for my shop. Right now I only have two older Emerson industrials. Great fans.
