This is a video of my 1996 “The Original Hunter” (Correct spelling) Ceiling Fan. This fan uses oil for lubrication, instead of the standard perm. lubricated bearings.

Vintage FASCO Charleston Ceiling Fan
This is a fan I fixed up for The guy who trained me how to drive a concrete mixer.
Made In North Carolina from completely domestic parts (read made in USA) this fan is about 24 years old, and performs just as well as it did in 1984 as it does now.
This is in fact a “frankenfan”, not an actual finish combo made by FASCO, the sideband, blade badges, and blades are from a 3rd generation charleston (totally plain) and the motor is a 2nd gen charleston. 3rd gen donor was a polished brass fan, the 2nd gen was a totally antique white fan. The combo really downplays the brass, and emphasizes the wood blades, whereas the actual white and brass FASCO combo, would have been White top and bottom motor plates as this fan is, brass sideband, brass flywheel, and brass switch housing, plus the brass brackets. Too Much brass down low IMO.
